I got asked to make a "Creeper" cake for a coworker's husband. I had no idea what a "creeper" is, and I'm betting you may not, either! :-) This is a "Creeper" ... it's from the Computer game, Minecraft... And THIS is the cake I made to resemble a "Creeper"! It was made out of chocolate cake, which I mixed an entire bag of Heath toffee bits in, and frosted it with Carmel buttercream frosting. My coworker LOVED it, and said it tasted delicious, so the cake was a success! :) This weekend I will be making 6 dozen Baptism cupcakes for a friend of mine's sister! Check back Sunday for pictures! :)

The wedding flowers were Peonies, so when I googled Peony wedding cake, I came across this pretty little cake... Below is my take on this cake - the bottom two tiers were Styrofoam and the top was vanilla cake and the whole thing was covered with vanilla decorator frosting like my mom used to make. :) The cake was fairly easy to do with the messier frosting technique, and I think once I got the flowers on it, it turned out pretty good (especially considering this was my 2nd wedding cake ever!). The final picture is of the cake and cupcakes at the reception site, I thought it all looked very nice once it was all put together!
The big weekend finally arrived! Several months ago my cousin asked if I would make cupcakes and a cake for her wedding and I happily said yes! :) She chose the flavors of coconut cream, cherry almond vanilla, orange creamsicle and chocolate with vanilla frosting. I needed to make 27 dozen, which was 324 cupcakes, plus I made another 2 dozen Snickers cupcakes for another family member. Here are some pics of the cupcakes. I ordered a silicone flower mold online a few weeks back and made a flower for each cupcake out of gum-paste and then brushed them all with pink Luster Dust to give them some shimmer, it was a bit time consuming, but the end product was worth it! Here's a picture of them all packed up to go - my mom got these HUGE boxes from her work and they were PERFECT! At the reception, each flavor of cupcake was on a separate cupcake stand and then there was a mixture on a stand on either side of the centerpiece cake.
I got asked to do this cake from a coworker for a going away party/retirement party. I had never heard of Big Boy Burgers before, so Google was quite helpful! :-) It was a marble cake with vanilla butter cream. Once again, I finished this cake at night, so the picture isn't the greatest (obviously!), but you get the idea!
